This is a Hybrid course. This means that we will meet in-person once a week. Because we only meet once a week, a significant amount of work for this course will take place online. Online assignments will task you with exploring new web platforms, reading about and discussing new technologies, keeping up on tech news, developing a digital project, and more!
You will need access to a stable and secure Internet connection for this class. Sometimes, you will need to use a desktop computer to complete your work.
Before class on Thursday please do the following:
- Read this short article: “5Cs: The New Media Technologies: Overview and Research Framework” by L&H Freidman (2008)
- Sign-in to Blogs@Baruch using the same [username/pw] that you use to log into school computers
- Join our course site by clicking “Join This Site” in the right side bar (must be signed in to join)
- Explore the Course Schedule to see what we will be covering this semester
